Procedural management, including the sequence of actions before, during, and after trades; noticing thoughts and emotions arising before and during trades; ability to stay focused when watching quotes; ability to respond quickly when needed for executing trades; keeping journal entries of all trades and associated reactions, reflecting on bad trades for clues as to what to change; noticing habitual nervous, superstitious, or compulsive behaviors related to trading; managing volume of trades; building in triggers and anchors; ways of relating to others in seeking out, sharing, or withholding market-related information; and habits for tracking investments, reviewing positions, and limit setting. |
